According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, more than 2.3 million people worldwide are affected by multiple sclerosis. The cause of this immune disease is still unknown and there is currently no cure. The cause of the intial symptoms of the disease is equally mysterious, as those with MS develop pain, numbness, or weakness in one leg.
