The ASCSU For-Ever-Green T-shirt design submissions ended in February and voting for the winning design was decided by the student body during the ASCSU elections in April.
Winning designAllison Mohar, a freshman majoring in apparel and merchandising, is the creator of the winning 2009-2010 ASCSU For-Ever-Green T-shirt design.
"It's such an honor to have won the contest, especially being a freshman. I'm a design student and for that many people to accept my design is what most designers hope for. I can't wait to see them next fall, and send some home to my family and friends!" said Mohar.
Mohar explains what she wanted to achieve with her design and her inspiration.
"Even when things seem to revolve around themselves, some part - even a tiny part - affects something else. I used this idea to create the concentric circles that connected to others in order to illustrate the dynamics of our environment and our society. The synchronicity of everything everywhere plays an important part when realizing how we students impact the world around us. It's a very important concept to understand and accept - especially now in a time of environmental awareness," said Mohar.
April Ragland, ASCSU's director of student services, says the shirts will be available next fall and will be handed out to all incoming freshman as well as at other programs throughout the year. Students and faculty can also pick-up a free shirt from the ASCSU office at anytime.
