On Friday, May 22, Orientation and Transition Programs, or OTP, hosted their first of 26 Orientation sessions held throughout the summer. Over 5,000 incoming students are expected to participate in one of the orientation sessions which will continue through Aug. 4. Orientation at Colorado State University exists to ease the transition for all new students.
PreviewPreview is the freshman orientation program at Colorado State University. Twenty-one sessions are offered during the summer for incoming freshman students, their family members and guests.

During the summer, OTP also hosts five Next Step orientation sessions for students transferring to Colorado State University. To meet the unique needs of transfer students, this one-day program distinguishes CSU from students’ previous institutions and prepares them for a successful fall semester.
During Next Step, students can:

Undergraduate student Orientation Leaders serve as mentors for incoming students and families throughout the Orientation process. These exceptional students guide participants through the Orientation process and provide information about the University.
Students selected for this position demonstrate commitment to serving diverse individuals and programs and feel comfortable serving as a role model for new students.

Orientation and Transition Programs is a part of the Center for Advising and Student Achievement at Colorado State University.
