Construction Management students from Colorado State University experienced significant success in competitions this past semester.

Over 55 construction management students and coaches traveled to Reno, Nev., in February to compete in the annual Associated Schools of Construction competition.
This year’s competition attracted over 1,300 students, coaches, and industry members participating in challenging construction education events.
The student competition is designed to challenge students and expose them to different facets of the construction industry. The competition simulates challenges they will face as future leaders in the field.
Each team’s estimating, scheduling, organization, leadership, productivity, and communication skills are tested and enhanced while participating in this competition.
The Heavy Civil Team and the Design Build Team each placed third in their divisions at the regional competition in Reno.
The Commercial Team placed first in their division in Reno and traveled to San Diego to participate in the Associated General Contractors of America National Competition where they competed with the top teams from six other regions in the United States.
