Summer bills bumming you out? You can get a rebate on your utility bill when you help the city avoid higher rates due to peak electric demand.

At no charge, the city will install a small radio-controlled device near your central AC unit. During peak electric demand times, when electricity demands are the highest, and therefore, most expensive for the city, the device will turn your AC on and off in 15-minute intervals. Your furnace fan stays on, circulating already cooled air throughout your home.
By cycling your AC on and off, you reduce the amount of electricity you use to cool your home and you also help the city avoid peak electric demand.
Fort Collins Utilities residential customers with central air conditioning are eligible.
Sign up now by calling (970) 221-6700 to schedule an appointment and save $20 on your summer utility bill.
