Meeting a community need for over 30 years, Special Needs Swim, or SNS, is a service program where trained CSU student volunteers interact with community youth with a variety of disabilities.
Spend a special hour in the poolEach week students and their partners spend an hour in the pool for games, exercise, and friendship. These sessions are oriented towards developing relationships, improving body coordination and skills, and most importantly... having fun in the water!
SNS is currently looking for students to volunteer in the program. Swims will take place on Sundays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. or Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at EPIC (on east Prospect).
If you are interested in participating, please fill out the application online or stop by the SLiCE Office (located behind the Information Desk in the Lory Student Center) to pick up an application.
If you have any questions, please contact Amanda or Miranda at (970) 491-2321 or specialneedsswim@gmail.com.
