The Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement (SLiCE) offers several Student Organization Officer Orientation sessions each semester as an introduction into the policies and procedures associated with: leading a student organization, event planning, managing student organization financial accounts and access to student organization funding.
Officer orientation required for recognition as student organizationOfficer Orientation is a required component of the annual registration process for all student organizations wishing to be recognized by the University. The SLiCE office maintains the official registration database for all registered student organizations at CSU.
All officer orientation programs take place in the Lory Student Center. The Spring 2009 officer orientation dates and specific locations are as follows:
Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 4 p.m. – LSC 224-226
Wednesday, Feb. 18, at noon – LSC 224-226
Monday, March 9 at 4 p.m. – LSC 224-226
Registration is an annual process and includes three easy steps:
1) complete a registration packet (available on-line)
2) attend an officer orientation (two officers minimum required to attend. Other members and advisors are welcome)
3) maintain an updated and approved constitution in the SLiCE office
