Learn more about the teachings of meditation and mindfulness with Richard Brady at this event sponsored by ASCSU and the CSU Zen Club.

Richard Brady, a meditation expert and certified mindfulness teacher, will visit CSU's campus Nov. 6 and 7 for an evening talk and a day of mindfulness practice.
Richard's visit is sponsored by ASCSU, the CSU Zen Club, Fort Collins Peaceful Heart Sangha and the Colorado Community of Mindful Living.
In 2001, Richard was recognized by Zen master and peace activist, Thich Nhat Hanh as a teacher in his tradition with a special focus on cultivating mindfulness in education. Since then Richard has worked with students and educators to integrate mindfulness into educational settings.
He retired in 2007, after a 37-year career as a high school mathematics teacher to devote his full attention to this work. He is a founder of the Mindfulness in Education Network, co-editor of Tuning In: Mindfulness in Teaching and Learning and author of a number of journal articles.
Friday, Nov. 6 from 7-9 p.m., Richard Brady will give a public talk, "Tending our Inner Wilderness: The Mindful Journey" at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. This event is free and open to the public.
Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., there will be a Day of Mindfulness Meditation Practices. This day includes sitting and walking meditation, a mindfulness talk, a "Q and A" session with Richard Brady, mindful eating, and discussion. A concurrent children's program will also be held.
