SLiCE accepting donations for hat and glove drive

The SLICE office is now accepting donations of hats and gloves. The donations will go to Homeless Gear, an organization that aims to help the homeless in Larimer County.

Donate new and gently used items

New and gently used hats and gloves are currently being accepted in the SLiCE office and in drop boxes near the east entrance of the Lory Student Center for the LSC's Hat and Glove Drive.

The hats and gloves gathered from the drive will go to Homeless Gear, which is a local non-profit organization for residents experiencing homelessness. All donations will be distributed to residents of Larimer County.

Personal hygiene items

In addition to hats and gloves, Homeless Gear also has a need for personal hygiene items, including:

• Soap
• Shampoo
• Lotion
• Deodorant
• Conditioner
• Shave Cream
• Disposable Razors

These donations will also be accepted during the Hat and Glove drive, which will end on Dec. 18, 2009. For questions about the drive, please contact Lyn Weyand at lweyand@rams.colostate.edu or visit the SLiCE office.
