Nominate your favorite CSU teacher/professor for a Best Teacher Award

The Colorado State University Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Connection invite you to nominate your favorite instructor for a 2010 Best Teacher Award. Start planning now and submit your nomination online by Feb. 3.

The Colorado State University Alumni Association and its affiliate student group, the Student Alumni Connection, recognize outstanding Colorado State University educators each year with Best Teacher Awards.

The teachers are nominated by students and alumni and are selected by a committee comprised of members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors and Student Alumni Connection Leadership Council.

Nomination guidelines

Nominations must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. (MT) on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010. If you wish to submit a hard copy nomination (instead of an online nomination, please contact the Alumni Association at (970) 491-5831 or csualumni@ar.colostate.edu

Selections are based on nominations that demonstrate the following:

Completion of provided form and questions.
Written examples of how the teacher/professor has influenced you in the classroom and beyond (through his/her enthusiasm, knowledge, dedication, sensitivity, creativity, etc.)
Nominated teacher/professor must be a current Colorado State University faculty/staff member

Additionally, please note:

Past Best Teacher Award recipients are not eligible. See a list of past recipients.
Incomplete and/or vague nominations will NOT be considered.
The quality of nominations will take precedence over the quantity of nominations for a particular teacher/professor.
Nominations may be shared with nominees (after awards program has taken place), relevant departments, and/or the media.
