If you are interested in learning about dogs or thinking about becoming a veterinarian and need a three credit course, then this is class for you. Biology and the Behavior of Dogs will help you develop a comprehensive understanding of how aspects of physiology, neurobiology, develop and genetics influence the behavior of domestic dogs.
If you love or are interested in studying dogs, this is the course for you. Students in this course will develop a comprehensive understanding of how aspects of physiology,
neurobiology, develop and genetics influence the behavior of domestic dogs, how learning theory applies to dogs, how evolution and domestication influence behavioral traits, and how abnormal and problem behaviors develop. Emphasis will be on interpreting scientific experiments in canine biology.
