GTAs & GRAs: How to publish research responsibly

An informational session will be held on March 3 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. to discuss authorship issues. This session is intended for graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) and graduate research assistants (GRAs) in particular, but all are welcome to attend.

Publishing student research

Questions that will be addressed include:

• What does it take to get your name on a research publication?
• Do you deserve first author position on a paper?
• What kinds of publications, other than research papers, can a student author?
• Can an undergraduate publish on research projects?
• Who owns the copyright for your work?

When: Wednesday, March 3; 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Where: Institute for Learning and Teaching, 221 Lecture Hall

Free pizza will be provided for participants.
