CSU has enjoyed consistent historical success against Nevada, leading the all-time series 9-1-0. The Rams have also won four of their last six non-conference games.
After a rocky season opener against the CU Buffs, the Rams look to rebound at Mackay Stadium in Reno, Nev., against the Wolf Pack. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
The Rams begin a challenging four-week stretch in which they face three of the six most experienced quarterbacks in the nation.
Nevada’s Colin Kaepernick (34 career starts) this week, Idaho’s Nathan Enderle (33) and TCU’s Andy Dalton (37) lay ahead on CSU’s schedule.
Nevada announced last month it would join the Mountain West Conference, so the Rams need to keep their eye on the Pack for the future.
CSU also looks for its first road victory in more than a year, since a resounding 23-17 win at Colorado to open the ‘09 campaign, Sept. 6, 2009.
