Do you know the LSC Directors? Wouldn't you love the opportunity to dunk them?

Bring $1 to the Lory Student Center Plaza Oct. 13 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and watch your director take a swim. Proceeds from the event will go toward Cans Around the Oval.

It all started with Colorado State University Public Relations student and the rest became tradition. Historically, Cans Around the Oval began as a headline on the student's paper after interviewing the founder of the Food Bank for Larimer County. The student then came up with the idea of circulating donated cans around the oval as a campus food drive.
Upon her graduation, she handed her paper over to ASCSU, who took on the responsibility of bringing it to life. During the fall 0f 1987, Cans Around the Oval made its first run: The event had enough cans to circle the Oval one time with each one foot apart.
In 2009, Cans Around the Oval collected 90,000 pounds of food that circled the Oval 45 times! How's that for tradition?
