Parking Services is offering to reduce your parking citation fine by $3 in exchange for the donation of a non-perishable food item. Those who have multiple donations can bring in as many donations as they have citations.
Now through Friday, Dec. 17Share some food and save some cash! Food for Fines - Fall 2010 is going on from Monday, Nov. 29 through Friday, Dec. 17.
CSU Parking Services is offering to reduce your citation fine in exchange for the donation of a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank for Larimer County. Those who have multiple items to donate can bring in as many donations as they have citations.
The CSU Parking Services Division Food for Fines program collects donations for the Food Bank for Larimer County in exchange for discounts on parking citation fines. Parking Services has donated over 12,000 pounds of food since 1998 through Food for Fines.
Bring in a non-perishable food donation and receive $3 off your citation fine, or reduce an elevated citation fine to its original amount.
Only one donation will be allowed per citation, but people with multiple citations may bring in as many donations as they have citations. Additional donations beyond that limit will be accepted, but you will still only receive one fine reduction per citation.
All donations must be taken to the Parking Services office in the Lake Street Garage and presented at the time of payment to receive a discount. This offer is not valid on citations which have already transferred to University Accounts Receivable. (See Parking Regulations, Section V, Delinquent Parking Violations)
