This workshop is intended for undergraduate and graduate students, particularly international students. The presenter is Laura Thomas with the Writing Center and Writing Across the Curriculum.
Everyone knows that professors expect students to use sources effectively and ethically in academic papers. But do you know how to do so?
This workshop will give you a brief contextual history of plagiarism at universities, discuss the cause and effect of uses of plagiarism-detection software like turnitin.com, and teach you how to use sources well.
