Late Night Breakfast offers free pancakes to students

Free pancakes will be served to the first 800 students that show their student I.D. Dec. 11 at the Lory Student Center.

Stop by the Lory Student Center Sunday, December 11, from 9 p.m.-11 p.m. for the bi-annual Late Night Breakfast sponsored by several departments within the Lory Student Center. The first 800 students to show their student I.D. will receive free pancakes, orange juice and coffee.

In addition to the food, there will be music, massages, prizes and trivia to rejuvinate you going into finals.

'Good luck!'

Each year, Campus Activities, SLiCE, EPS, Catering, the LSC Director's Office and LSC Marketing plan the event to offer students an opportunity to relax and have fun in a safe atmosphere just before final examinations.

"The LSC is a key part of the campus community, and we understand the stress students can go through during this time period, so this is our little way of saying good luck!" said Nidhi Lahoti, a graduate student in Campus Activities.

Mix and mingle

Funding for the event stems from a late night programming grant that Subway pays into. Twice a semester the committee gets together to plan the streamlined event. "Over the past few semesters, we have begun to realize that all students really want is to relax, enjoy time with friends, enjoy some free food and get a chance to win some awesome prizes, so we have cut back on the "entertainment" value of the event and focused on what students really want," said Lahoti.

"Also, Mike Ellis really loves the event because it gives him a chance to mix and mingle with plenty of students, and it's just one more way the LSC is making a positive impact on our campus," she said.
