February 5, 2012

Participants provide support, address factors that impede the writing process and set weekly personal writing goals. The group does not provide specific writing or editing help, but focuses on issues such as time management, motivation, finding support and setting both long-term and short-term goals.
Past members have found that the weekly accountability helps them move forward more reliably. They have also found that when they get “stuck” the group's brainstorming and support reduces discouragement and helps them get going again. In the past, many members have completed their theses and dissertations or made significant progress with the help and support of this group.
The group will meet weekly during the semester. If interested, please attend the information session in 234 Aylesworth Hall NW Feb. 7 from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. to learn more. Pre-registration is not necessary. If you are interested, but cannot attend this meeting, please contact the senior staff psychologist at the CSU Health Network, Ellen Cooney at (970) 491-6053.
