Join the Pre-Vet Club for their next general meeting, Wednesday, Feb. 22, in Yates 104 at 6 p.m. where they will learn about immunology.
The speaker will be Dr. Gerald Callahan, a joint professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology and the Department of English, to discuss the study of the immune system.
Dr. Callahan is an expert in the areas of immunology, the nervous system and the biological basis of sex. He has published multiple books, from textbooks to scientific nonfiction books, including Between XX and XY: Intersexuality and the Myth of Two Sexes, which was a finalist in the Colorado Book of the Year award in 2010.
