World Water Day 2012

This year's World Water Day, held March 22, will include guest speakers, booths, movies, a live band, and a great opportunity to talk to organizations about the conservation of water and food security!

International World Water Day is held annually on March 22 in order to focus attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

Schedule of events

• 10 a.m. -2 p.m.: Booths and organizations display, LSC Cherokee Ballroom
• 11 a.m.-noon: Karen Ann interactive presentation: “Renewed Respect and Value for Water,” LSC Grey Rock Room
• Noon-1:30 p.m.: Blue Gold- World Water Wars film, LSC Grey Rock Room
• 2 p.m.-3 p.m.: Mark Easter, from Save the Poudre, will give a presentation on the impacts of NISP on agriculture, LSC Grey Rock Room       
• 4 p.m.-5 p.m.: Keynote speaker Dr. Tindall will give his speech, LSC Grey Rock Room
• 5  p.m.-6:30 p.m.: Blue Gold- World Water Wars film, LSC Grey Rock Room
• 7 p.m.-8 p.m.: Free concert: ThreeShots, LSC Ramskellar
