The President's Leadership Program is accepting applications for the 2012-2013 academic year.

The priority submission deadline is Friday, March 30. As stated in the mission, "The President's Leadership Program strives to develop active, informed citizen leaders who practice ethical, inclusive leadership and embody positive humanitarian characteristics such as optimism, service to others, passion, mindfulness, and fairness."
Through a comprehensive leadership development experience, PLP educates and develops students’ abilities through an emphasis on the following:
Students who participate in PLP can expect to meet weekly on Tuesday evenings in both fall and spring semester earning academic credit for each semester of successful completion. During class, students are asked to participate in experiential exercises, group discussions with peers, and meaningful activities that challenge conventional ideologies of leadership.
Additionally, PLP provides an opportunity to build community among peers, participate in service weekend retreats, career development networking events, internships and more through three separate year-long academic courses each focused on a different curriculum for leadership development and professional growth. PLP welcomes and encourages a variety of students to apply including students of diverse backgrounds, students with or without “formal” leadership experience, and students who have never considered any exploration of leadership.
