Apply to be a 'Face of the Lory Student Center'

April 16, 2012

Attention all CSU students who love not only CSU but the Lory Student Center as well, you can leave a lasting impression on your university by applying to be one of the "Faces of the Lory Student Center."

To celebrate the Lory Student Center’s golden anniversary of 50 years serving CSU students, we are recreating the historic 1960 photograph, which depicts seven CSU leaders in front of the Lory Student Center “Coming Soon” sign. The new photo will be a group of CSU’s current leaders. Students chosen for the honor will represent the CSU campus community and can demonstrate their love for both CSU and the Lory Student Center.

Be a part of a lasting legacy

This opportunity also allows students to be honored guests at the 50th Lory Student Center Celebration, which is slated to take place in the fall of 2012 during the three weeks prior to homecoming. During this celebration, the students selected for the new photo will be able to meet the seven famous faces from the original photograph. Students will also help select items for the time capsule and be part of the annual Homecoming Parade. And last but definitely not least, selected students will have the opportunity to meet CSU’s senior leaders such as President Tony Frank.

This presents a once in a lifetime opportunity for students to be part of a lasting legacy that will continue for years to come. Those enrolled as full time or part time undergraduate or graduate students in the fall of 2012, who are in good academic standing, are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Friday, May 4, 2012.
