From May 2-12, the residence halls on campus will be collecting items for the Leave it Behind program. Donation bins will be located in the lobby of each residence hall.

School supplies, clothing, bikes and furniture items will be sorted and available to the community at the CSU Surplus tent sale June 2. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Eco Leaders program, a peer-to-peer sustainability education program in the residence halls.
Non-perishable food donations will be sorted and given to the Larimer County Food Bank.
“The Leave it Behind program continues to grow every year and gives students who move out of the halls a chance to keep items that could be reused or repurposed out of the landfill," said Tonie Miyamoto, director of communications and sustainability for CSU's Housing and Dining Services.
"We are really excited to work with CSU Surplus this year to keep the materials on campus. This is our first year doing a community sale on campus, and we are looking forward to it.”
During last year’s move-out, Housing and Dining Services collected 20 tons of donated items.
