In addition to having played in top venues on both coasts, the Wendy Woo Band performs frequently throughout the Rocky Mountain region and nearby states. Having recorded nine albums, Woo draws upon a deep catalog of songs in a wide range of genres: rock, blues, folk, and jazz.
Wednesday, July 25The Wendy Woo Band loves performing catchy, upbeat songs that get everyone of all ages up and dancing! From the pop rock sound of Out of My Head Over You to the acoustic rock feel of Down and Dirty -- a song that demonstrates Wendy’s ability to tap on her guitar in a rhythmic way -- their shows are not one to miss.
The Wendy Woo Band has the versatility to play any show as a five piece or down to a single player, Wendy Woo. A duo is formed with Wendy and Robin Hoch or a trio with Wendy, David Derby and Mitch DeZwarte. These five can come together or another member can be added for a five piece.
This is possible because of the musicianship of the band’s members. Wendy plays acoustic and electric guitars, Robin plays viola and guitar, David plays drums, percussion, Chris plays rhythm guitar, bass and drums, and Mitch plays bass, guitar and keyboards.
The Lagoon Summer Concert Series has been a summer event in Fort Collins for over 18 years. Thanks to the generous support of Colorado State University, this event has continued to thrive and grow into the success it is today.
It is safe to say that the hundreds who attended years ago are part of the thousands who attend today.
The free concerts will be held, weather permitting, on Wednesday nights (with the exception of the first concert, Tuesday July 3), running through to August 8, 2012.
