One friend offered the following thoughts: “Mark was kind and generous to all he knew, not only sharing his wry wit and humor, but always there with the little things that count in life, like an offer to help move, or to carry groceries, or to fix your computer. The guy was smart as they come, even going so far as to invent a new board game he was in the process of marketing, but humble, always humble. He loved music and played guitar well. He always had a quote from some old song to stump you with. He wrote silly little songs for his daughter, Harlie, who always giggled and smiled whenever he sang one for her. And did he adore that child. She is his first child and he always marveled at how he could possibly be so blessed as to have her in his life, at long last. He was a ‘gentle giant’ …”
