CSU basketball fans are invited to a sneak preview of the 2012-13 season Monday night at "Moby Madness."
The event, which features introductions of the men’s and women’s teams, will include a 3-point shootout, skills competitions and crowd involvement games prior to a slam dunk contest put on by the men’s team.
Doors at Moby Arena open at 7 p.m., with festivities beginning at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
In addition to meeting the players, fans will hear from new men’s coach Larry Eustachy and new women’s coach Ryun Williams. Players from both teams will be available to sign autographs following the event.
Fans can sign up to participate in a number of competitions, including a 3-point contest and a slam dunk contest exclusively for CSU students.
Fans are also encouraged to bring donations of canned food items or cash to Cans Around the Oval, CSU’s annual food drive to benefit the Larimer County Food Bank. Cans Around the Oval, now in its 26th year, is the county’s largest annual food drive.
The CSU men’s team tips off its season at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 with an exhibition game against Metro State, while the women play an exhibition game at 7 p.m. Oct. 1 against Colorado School of Mines. Both exhibitions will be played at Moby Arena.
