Businesses must be located on campus and must be non-profit and/or return profits to centralized University units to be eligible to post unpaid announcements on the University's Today @ Colorado State publication. Examples of on-campus businesses include the University Club, CSU Bookstore, and Catering Services, located in the Lory Student Center.
The content of postings must be directly related to the University and must not contain commercial advertising or religious or political editorials or solicitations.
Postings will be accepted only from University employees and only from e-mail addresses ending in colostate.edu.
Seasonal events such as poinsettia sales, Lory Student Center Bookstore sidewalk sales, and notices of special holiday hours of operation are acceptable. However, Today @ Colorado State postings promoting products or services that are available year-round will not be accepted without the purchase of paid advertising space (more information below).
Businesses located on campus that may not use the Today @ Colorado State unpaid announcement system include for-profit organizations such as The Flower Company, First National Bank, Subway sandwich shop, and similar businesses and franchises. Off-campus businesses, industry, and educational institutions may not use the University's Today @ Colorado State unpaid announcement system.
Advertisements or notices of for-sale items (cars, furniture, books, etc.) and rentals, home sales, sabbatical housing, employment, and services-available messages will not be accepted.
Paid advertising is currently available on Today, and through the Rocky Mountain Collegian, the student newspaper, at (970) 491-7467. Campus or off-campus event notices and story ideas may be submitted to Collegian staff members at (970) 491-1688 during the day and (970) 491-3356 evenings.
Announcements submitted to Today @ Colorado State will be posted to the Web after moderation (i.e. review and editing as needed) by Department of Web Communications staff. In addition, a daily e-mail will be sent to Today @ Colorado State subscribers on weekday mornings.
