Green Warriors shrink footprints for prizes - February 27, 2011
Last year, nearly 200 CSU students have logged on to the Green Warrior site to earn points and prizes for pledging to take "green" actions. This year students are pledging to do even more, and earning more points, when compared to last year's campaign. There are already 25 students that have reached the coveted "Green Warrior Certification" level, which surpasses last year's total.

Christina Adame life celebration, scholarship fund - October 27, 2010
A celebration of Christina Adame's life will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday Oct. 28, in the Lory Student Center West Ballroom. Christina, a sophomore at Colorado State University majoring in International Studies and an employee at CSU's Veterinary Teaching Hospital, died on Oct. 19. Her loss is felt widely throughout the CSU and larger community.

Exploring the 'flat world' of international media - September 29, 2010
CBS correspondent Charles D'Agata was in the midst of assembling a story for a U.S. newscast when I arrived at its London bureau with a small group of seven Colorado State students on an 18-day study tour of European media sites. Make sure that you receive your first Spring 2010 University billing statement by creating a billing address. Your billing address should be where your statement can be mailed in order for you to receive it before the Jan. 11th due date, and where you plan to stay over semester break (i.e. your home, parents, or legal guardian address).

In February, Morning-Star will be traveling to the island nation of New Zealand to study the international legal issues of environmental refugees as the recipient of a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship.

'Aboriginal Stone Arrangements' Nov. 19 - November 17, 2009
The Gummingurru stone arrangement site is one of largest of its kind in Queensland. Until the early 19th century, it was used for ceremonies and male initiation. The ceremonies came to an end in 1890 when Europeans removed the Aboriginal people from their land and into the towns or government-run missions. On Thursday, Nov. 19, the CSU Department of Anthropology will host a lecture by Annie Ross, a University of Queensland archaeologist, who will discuss Gummingurru and its significance to Aborigines and the world.

Walter Littlemoon, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe and his wife, Jane Ridgway, described the impact federal Indian policies have had on his life and family history in his memoir, "They Call Me Uncivilized, The Memoir of an Everyday Lakota Man from Wounded Knee." Pulitzer Prize-winner Jim Sheeler Sept. 8 - August 28, 2009
Jim Sheeler, CSU alumnus (Journalism, '90) won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for feature writing while reporting for the Rocky Mountain News. ASAP, the Student Activities Board, has arranged for Sheeler to appear at CSU to talk about his latest book, 'Final Salute,' in which he describes what it was like to shadow a casualty notification officer during the Iraq War.

The Occupational Therapy Department is currently seeking participants for a study investigating the test - retest reliability of transcranial magnetic stimulation measures. Using electromyography (EMG), participants will have their muscle responses recorded in response to non-invasive brain stimulation.
